Dogs: Let pets travel in cabin on flights

Prior to cancellation of pets in cabin by Air Canada, we retirees flew up to eight return flights from our residing city per year.

Since we only have Air Canada that leaves our city, we have no other choice but to give our Canadian dollars to U. S. competitors.

U. S. air carriers are more than happy to accept, for a fee, our two-kilogram non-allergenic health-certified (which is a border requirement), non-shedding Yorkshire terrier, that must be kept in a carrier under the seat during the entire flight.

Dogs: Dying bulldog saves her owner

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A Michigan man's decision not to end his terminally ill bulldog's life has ended up saving his own.
Scott Seymour said his dog, Brittney, awakened him with her barking early Saturday in time for both of them to escape from his burning house in Grand Rapids.

Dogs: Dog poisoned in Mississauga park

A dog is expected to recover after eating meat laced with windshield washer fluid in a Mississauga park.

Peel Police issued a warning tonight to dog owners after an adult Weimaraner was poisoned Monday morning during a walk in Tom Chater Memorial Park, near Burhamthorpe Rd. and Winston Churchill Blvd.

Dogs: Dogs wearing shock collars seized from home

Toronto Humane Society officials have seized five dogs and two birds from a west-end home, and officials say it's not the first time they've been called to the address.

Two Portuguese fila dogs wearing shock collars were found chained in the backyard of the home, sitting in their own feces.

Dogs: Australian woman convicted today of killing man over her barking dog

SYDNEY - A woman was convicted of fatally stabbing a neighbour who complained about her barking dog in Australia's biggest city.

A New South Wales Supreme Court jury found Katrina Megan Whitmore, 26, guilty of murder after two days of deliberations
